Adult French Classes

Come and Experience classes with the Alliance Française de Princeton:

• Our teachers are native French speakers, fully qualified, experienced, and ready to listen to students’ needs.
• Classes are small to ensure individual attention
• We use an active, progressive, and dynamic methodology based on oral communication.
• From the beginning, students have the opportunity to speak in French.

New Students

If you are a true beginner, and the Beginner I class will be your first French class, you should register for the Fall session. The Winter and Spring sessions are continuations of the Fall session and will be too advanced for new speakers.

If you have previously taken a French class, we recommend you take our Placement Test so that you can enroll in the class that best matches your level of French. Download the Placement Test here, Print the test and complete it to the best of your ability. You can either:

All classes are conducted in person.

Member Discount

Please note, if you are a member, your $20.00 discount per session will automatically appear in the checkout process.

Family Discount

A Family Membership entitles the member to a 10% discount on each additional class registration. (The 10% discount is refunded after payment)

Enrolling Mid-Session

If you decide to attend a class already in session, send us an email and we will forward it to our Director of Education to determine if there is availability in the class and it is appropriate for your level. She will contact you directly and review the class curriculum before admitting you to the class. Your tuition payment will be the number of remaining classes ($32 per class)

Refund Policy

If, after class 1, you find your class is not the best fit for you, and we are unable to place you in a more suitable class, you will receive a 100% refund.

If you decide to withdraw after classes 2 – 9, your refund is the remaining tuition ($32 per class) – $45.00 cancellation fee.
