The Alliance Française de Princeton is committed to protecting the privacy of its students and members. We do not collect any information when browsing our website. We only collect personal information when registering for a class, an event, or purchasing a membership. Your personal information is never shared with anyone outside the Alliance Française de Princeton.
Browsing information and cookies
Our server records when you visit our site and will record the information that your browser provides. When you make a purchase on the site, a small file, known as a ‘cookie’, is stored on your computer to enable us to process your payment and recognize you when you return to our site. If you choose to block cookies with your browser, you may not be able to take full advantage of our site features.
Your Account and Credit Card information
When you become a member or register for a class, you are asked to create an account using your email and a password (that can be changed at any time). Your personal account allows you to view your previous class registrations, membership payments, and special events. Your credit card information is saved for easy check out for future payments. Your information is fully encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the owner. The number is not stored on our server, but with Stripe, a PCI compliant payment processor, and one of the most widely-used processors for online purchases.
Membership
We ask you to provide the information necessary to process and service your membership: Your name, email address, telephone number, and credit card information. For a Family Membership, we may ask for the names of your children who will be using the membership. For a donation, we ask for your name, email address, telephone number, and credit card information. We may also ask you about your interests so that we may keep you informed about events and programs that may be of interest to you.
Class Registration
You are asked to provide the necessary information to register you for a class: Your name, email address, cell phone number (for texting in case of class cancellation or rescheduling), and credit card information.
Event Registration
You are asked to provide the necessary information to RSVP and pay for a special event; Name, email address, and credit card.
Email Policy
We regularly send email newsletters and announcements of upcoming events to our members or parties who have requested to be added to our distribution list. You may unsubscribe to an email newsletter or notice at any time. Our distribution list is never shared with anyone outside the Alliance Française de Princeton.
