Adult Beginner 2 – A1.2

Here we continue to develop the basic skills necessary to have simple conversations in French.  This is a natural progressions from our Adult Beginner 1 – A1.1 class. We highly recommend that you start with the Fall-Part I class and continue on with Parts II and III in the Winter and Spring.  If you wish to join this class after the Fall trimester, you must receive permission from our Director of Education via email at [email protected].  If you have had some prior experience or instruction in French, we suggest you take our Placement Test to determine which class would best fit your needs. In this course we will start to introduce new complexities, introducing new concepts and situations to build on the basics developed earlier.  Of course, we will expand on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Students will learn how to:

• Tell time and describe your daily routine
• Rent an apartment; describe the furnishings and appliances
• Speak about your health; name the parts of the body
• Speak about family members and relations; describe family events 
• Propose an outing; suggest different activities and places to go
