Adult Advanced Beginner – A2/B1 Special

In this course we prepare you to more readily express yourself and carry on more than a basic conversation. As always, we recommend that you start with the Fall-Part I class and continue on with Parts II and III in the Winter and Spring.  If you wish to join this class after the Fall trimester, you must receive permission from our Director of Education via email at [email protected]. If you have had some prior experience or instruction in French, we suggest you take our Placement Test to determine which class would best fit your needs. Download the Placement Test here.

We will continue to build on and expand your vocabulary, explain grammar and introduce new concepts as well as develop your pronunciation.  Students will learn how to:

• Celebrate an event, plan a meal or organize a “Soirée” using the future tense
• Talk about meeting someone, recount an anecdote, and describe someone with the past tense
• Make comparisons; use the past imperfect tense
• Express an obligation; indicate the passage of time; explain a process.
• Justify a choice; express a difficulty; form negating sentences  … and more
